Redefining the public dialogue relating to Britain’s Muslim communities

Through independent research, policy engagement, public dialogue and community capacity-building, we help policy-makers better respond to the challenges and opportunities facing Britain’s diverse Muslim communities, while supporting Muslim institutions to strengthen their capabilities and impact.

More about us

Who We Are

Research. Policy. Impact. Community.

Britain’s Muslim communities are diverse, dynamic and integral to modern British society. Yet too often, policy is developed without sufficient evidence or understanding.

The Centre for Muslims in Britain exists to bridge that gap – through rigorous research, constructive policy engagement and stronger, more connected communities.

We produce independent research that helps government, public bodies and civil society make better-informed decisions on issues affecting Britain’s Muslim communities.

Alongside this, we produce thought leadership and deliver community workshops that build the knowledge, skills and capabilities of Muslim institutions, helping them become more effective, resilient and impactful. Our work combines evidence, academic rigour and practical engagement to improve public policy and strengthen the institutions that serve Britain’s Muslim communities.
